PWHL Vancouver Acquires Goaltender Kristen Campbell from Toronto Sceptres

The log jam in net in Toronto has begun to shake itself out, as the Sceptres moved goaltender Kristen Campbell and the 19th overall pick to Vancouver in exchange for the 16th and 23rd overall picks in Tuesday's entry draft.

Campbell, who was originally drafted 14th overall in the inaugural PWHL draft back in 2023, played two seasons in Toronto. Across 43 regular season games, the netminder earned a .919 save percentage, made 1010 total saves, and helped Toronto to a 25-14-3 record in those starts. Additionally, Campbell started eight playoff games for Toronto, including five in 2024 where she had a .962 SV%.

Vancouver had already signed fellow Canadian goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer during the exclusive signing window earlier in the month. With the 16th overall pick, Toronto selected forward Kiara Zanon out of The Ohio State University, who is coming off a 12 goal, 32 point season for the Buckeyes. Vancouver, in turn, used the 19th overall selection to draft defender Nina Jobst-Smith from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Toronto still has Raygan Kirk, who they drafted last season, and Elaine Chuli, a recent free agent signing, as their goaltenders on the roster.
