The schedule features a mix of interleague games and games against college teams. Most notable, women’s hockey fans in the Colgate area have an extremely unique opportunity on Sunday, Sept. 23 as the CWHL’s KRS Vanke Rays take on Colgate at 2 p.m. then the NWHL’s Buffalo Beauts and Connecticut Whale play in the same rink at 6 p.m. That’s a lot of really really really good hockey in a really really short amount of time.

NWHL announces 2018-19 schedule

Boston Pride at Northeastern University (NCAA): Sat. Sept. 22 - 2 p.m.

UPDATE: As of Sept 19, the Pride and Northeastern will play at 1 p.m. at nearby Boston University’s Walter Brown. The contest is also now a “non-traditional, ‘controlled scrimmage’ format with two periods of hockey, followed by a special-teams clinic during which both sides will work on power-plays and penalty kills,” according to the press release.

Minnesota Whitecaps at Minnesota-Duluth (NCAA) at Amsoil Arena: Sat. Sept. 22 - 4 p.m. CST

The Whitecaps typically play a lot of NCAA teams and this season is no different. This will be the first look at the newest NWHL team.

Buffalo Beauts v Connecticut Whale at Colgate University: Sun. Sept. 23 - 6 p.m.

Metropolitan Riveters v Luleå Hockey/MSSK (SDHL) at Princeton: Sat. Sept. 29 - 1 p.m.
