Goal by Goal: Canada beats USA in first exhibition series meetup, 4-1

Bach and Poulin dominate while Knight gets on the board

Team Canada and Team USA competed for the first time this season in game one of their exhibition series in Pittsburgh to prepare for their second annual Rivalry Series starting in December.

Canada scored early with two goals in the first half of the first period. USA was able to answer for one but didn’t come back from there. Canada was able to notch two more goals in the second period, and after a scoreless third, they ended it there 4-1.

Twelve penalties were called total, six on each side, most of which came in the third period after tensions escalated throughout the game.

These teams will face off again on Sunday Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. EST at Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, PA, which they sold out for game one.
