Wisconsin’s Norby Hits Highlight Reel as Johnson Earns 400th Win
Norby scores a pivotal goal to spark Wisconsin to a 4-1 victory over Clarkson
After gaining the extra point with a shootout victory in last weekend's 1-1 tie with Ohio State, all eyes were on #1 Wisconsin this weekend as they matched up against #7 Clarkson. It took overtime for the Badgers to down Clarkson 3-2 in game one of the series yesterday—but that wasn’t the case today in a 4-1 Badgers win. Minnetonka’s Presley Norby broke out in the third period and gave Wisconsin’s offense a shot in the arm with this gorgeous bar down snipe, her first career goal:

Norby finished with a goal and two assists; her second assist on the day was even more jaw dropping than the goal:

The freshman’s efforts helped sway some offensive momentum back in the Badgers favor after the team slowed down against Ohio State and struggled to finish vs. Clarkson’s Shea Tiley. Norby’s first career goal wasn’t the only milestone for Wisconsin this weekend, as with this 5th win of the season, Badgers Head Coach Mark Johnson became the first head coach in WCHA Women’s Hockey history to win 400 games.
