This afternoon, USA Hockey announced its roster for the 2025 Rivalry Series dates. The 30-player roster consists of 17 forwards, 10 defenders, and three goaltenders. All 25 members of the gold-medal-winning squad at the 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship are returning. The series kicks off on Nov. 6 in Cleveland, OH, and then features games in Buffalo, NY (Nov. 8) and Edmonton, AB (Dec. 10 and 13).

Hannah Bilka is set to return to the national team after missing out on Worlds due to a knee injury sustained in the February 2025 Rivalry Series. The PWHL Seattle forward had a strong rookie season with the Boston Fleet, posting five goals and six assists in 16 games.

The other two forward additions to the roster – Gabbie Hughes and Casey O’Brien – also have senior national team experience. Hughes participated in the past two seasons’ Rivalry Series, plus the 2023 Worlds. She produced five goals and 11 assists in 29 games last season, in addition to three assists in eight playoff games. O’Brien was also rostered for the past Rivalry Series, plus the 2024 Six Nations tournament, although the U.S. and Canada took rosters of only college students to that while the four European countries brought their full national team squads. She was selected by the New York Sirens with third overall pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft after leading the NCAA in points last season with 26 goals and 62 assists as a member of the University of Wisconsin Badgers. She also took home the 2025 Patty Kazmaier Award as the top player in NCAA Divison 1 women’s hockey.

As for the defenders, Rory Guilday has participated in three senior World Championships (2022, 2023, 2024), plus the past three Rivalry Series and the 2024 Six Nations tournament. The 5’11” defender posted five goals and four assists in 30 games with Cornell University last season. She was selected fifth overall by the Ottawa Charge in the 2025 PWHL Draft and signed a three-year contract with the team back in July.

Last but not least, defender Emma Peschel will be making her debut at a full senior national team event after previously participating in the 2024 Six Nations Tournament, the 2023 and 2024 Collegiate Series, and the 2022 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship. Peschel tallied eight goals and 26 assists in 40 games in her junior season last year with Ohio State University. She was named captain of the team for her senior season, which has seen her tally two goals and one assist in five games as of the publication of this story.
