It's a big payday for D Kati Tabin in Toronto.

The Six announced Monday afternoon that they have signed the blue liner to a two-year deal worth $220,000 USD, averaging to $110,000 per season.

Tabin was a standout on the blue line last year, showing elite playmaking ability and great skating on both ends of the ice. She didn't make it onto the final list of nominees for Defender of the Year in 2022-23 but was a great candidate for it for much of the season, scoring four goals and 18 total points in the regular season, then going on a point-per-game tear in the playoffs to help the Six win their first-ever Isobel Cup.

Tabin joins Saroya Tinker and Taylor Davison as a returner on defense, while Toronto has also shored up its goalie corps with the re-signings of Elaine Chuli (two-year deal) and Carly Jackson (one-year). Shiann Darkangelo and rookie Claire Dalton are also under contract on the forward lines.
