The off season is coming to an end and the news is ramping up. Here are three quick things you might have missed this week from PWHL Vancouver!

Jerseys are here!

If you haven't seen them yet, take a look at these beauties.

The home and away jerseys for the inaugural season will match the original six teams' initial styles, with a diagonal city name on the front of the jersey.

"I feel so excited that fans are finally getting to see our jerseys for the first time. It truly feels surreal to think that in a month, I'll be wearing that in a game for the first time," PWHL Vancouver forward Sarah Nurse said in the news release.

Vancouver's colours are cream and pacific blue and feature an earthy brown stripe. Names are at the top of the jerseys on the back, and each jersey has a Canadian Tire patch on the shoulders.

While the jerseys will not have team names or logos on them, the teams will have them for the inaugural season. This is different than the original six teams, who all played under the PWHL (City) moniker for the first season. Names and logos will be revealed before the first game of the season and will have a placement on the 2026-27 jerseys.

I shared my thoughts on the jerseys in LJ's jersey review article from earlier this week, but long story short, I LOVE them.

Fans can purchase the blue home jerseys with player nameplate options on the Canadian and American sites.

The Coaching Staff is Set

On Monday, PWHL Vancouver announced they have filled the roles for the remaining coaching and support staff positions.

Joining head coach Brian Idalski are assistant coaches BJ Adams and Brendon Knight. Knight has an extensive history of coaching women at the collegiate level and in international competition. He coached Syracuse University to two NCAA tournament appearances and coached Team USA at the FISU Winter World University Games. Knight also worked with Team China at the 2024 Women's World Championship.

Adams does not have any high-level experience coaching women. He was the head coach of the OHL's Erie Otters where he won an OHL title in 2017 and coached in the NCAA with Canisus College.

The on-ice coaching staff is rounded out by Joey Ali, who will fill the role of goaltending coach. He is the founder of Proalie Goaltending, a local goaltending program, and has coached with the Langely Rivermen (BCHL) and Simon Fraser University. Ali recently worked with Team Canada in 2024 at the national women's team camp.

The video coach will be Andrew Boucher, who has held similar roles with Hockey Canada at the senior, u18, and paralympic levels.

Former Canadian national team and CWHL player Shannon MacAulay will join the team as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. She previously worked this role with the Minnesota Frost.

Kathy Pippy will support Cara Gardner Morey as Senior Advisor to the GM. Pippy already spent two years working in the PWHL as Special Advisor, Hockey Operations with the Ottawa Charge. She was instrumental in starting the girls hockey program that became the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Girls and is the current Senior Advisor. The team are now two-time USA Hockey National Champions.

Maeghan Stocker (Team Services/Hockey Operations), Cierra San Roman (Hockey Operations), Lydia Maxwell (Head Athletic Trainer), SJ Sanghera (Assistant Athletic Trainer), Gordon Hamilton (Head Equipment Manager), and Matina Landstad (Assistant Equipment Manager) round out the rest of the staff.

My opinion on this; I'm optimistic. I love to see that so many of these new hires have worked with women in some context or have already been a part of the PWHL. Ideally, all of them would have experience coaching women before coming to the top women's league, but that is something we can work towards.

Nine New Faces at Training Camp

PWHL Vancouver has released their training camp roster for the upcoming season. Camp will start on November 10 and include 32 players hoping to make the team for puck drop on November 21. Teams will have to get their rosters down to 23 active players by November 19.

Along with all signees, PWHL Vancouver has invited their remaining draft picks who are currently unsigned, as well as nine camp invitees who were not drafted.

2025 un-signed draft picks attending camp:
