PWHL Seattle signs Danielle Serdachny
Ottawa Charge forward joins PWHL Seattle on a two-year deal.

PWHL Seattle opened their inaugural roster-building process by signing Ottawa Charge forward Danielle Serdachny to a two-year contract during the expansion teams’ exclusive signing window. Serdachny joins Seattle after a full season with the Ottawa Charge.
Serdachny, 24, is coming off her rookie professional season in the PWHL, where she tallied eight points (2G, 6A) in 30 games for Ottawa and added two more assists during the playoffs. Known for her high hockey IQ and faceoff skill, she also recorded 90 faceoff wins and was a consistent presence in all three zones.
Before turning pro, Serdachny played five seasons at Colgate University, where she was a Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award finalist, multi-time All-American, and two-time ECAC Hockey Player of the Year. She graduated in 2024 as one of the most decorated players in Colgate history.
Internationally, Serdachny made headlines this spring by scoring the overtime winner for Canada in the gold medal game at the 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship. She also earned four points in six games at the tournament, following a similar performance in 2023.
Serdachny was left unprotected by the Charge in the lead-up to the expansion draft. Seattle General Manager Meghan Turner acted quickly to add the Edmonton native, calling her "a tremendous addition to our group" in the league's press release.
The exclusive signing window for PWHL Vancouver and PWHL Seattle continues until 5 p.m. EST on June 8th. Each team can sign up to five players during that time.
