PWHL Releases Semifinal Schedule

The puck drops on the PWHL's Walter Cup Playoffs this week, with the semifinals starting Wednesday and Thursday in Toronto, Ontario and Montréal, Quebec, respectively.

The league released its full first-round series on Sunday night, just a few hours after the Montréal Victoire announced their selected opponent: the Ottawa Charge. The second-place Toronto Sceptres will face the defending champs, the fourth-place Minnesota Frost.

We'll have full series previews to come here at The Ice Garden, but here's a quick rundown of the semifinal schedule, each of which is a best-of-five:

Montréal Victoire (#1) vs. Ottawa Charge (#3)

• Game 1: Thursday, May 8 @ 7 PM ET, Place Bell
• Game 2: Sunday, May 11 @ 2 PM ET, Place Bell
• Game 3: Tuesday, May 13 @ 7 PM ET, TD Place
• Game 4 (if necessary): Friday, May 16 @ 7 PM ET, TD Place
• Game 5 (if necessary): Sunday, May 18 @ 7 PM ET, Place Bell

This series will be broadcast on TSN and RDS in Canada, and on YouTube in the United States.

Toronto Sceptres (#2) vs. Minnesota Frost (#4)

• Game 1: Wednesday, May 7 @ 7 PM ET, Coca-Cola Coliseum
• Game 2: Friday, May 9 @ 7 PM ET, Coca-Cola Coliseum
• Game 3: Sunday, May 11 @ 6 PM ET, Xcel Energy Center *tentative
• Game 4 (if necessary): Wednesday, May 14 @ 7 PM ET, Xcel Energy Center
• Game 5 (if necessary): Saturday, May 17, time TBD, Coca-Cola Coliseum

This series will be broadcast on Prime Video in Canada, and on FanDuel Sports Network North and YouTube in the United States.

The winners of each semifinal round will go on to the Walter Cup Final to vie for the PWHL championship.
