The Boston Pride announced on Monday that they have signed Toronto Six forward and Isobel Cup champion Brittany Howard to a two-year deal ahead of Season 9. Additional terms of the deal were not disclosed. Prior to signing with Toronto, Howard played three seasons in the PWHPA and one season in the CWHL (Toronto Furies). She was also drafted tenth overall (Buffalo Beauts) in the 2017 NWHL Draft.

Howard finished her first season in the PHF with 26 points (16g-10a) in 20 games and added four points (2g-2a) in four postseason games to help the Six capture their first-ever Isobel Cup championship. She finished the regular season fifth in points, third in goals, and third in game-winning goals (3).

“I am thrilled to be a member of the Pride! Boston has a rich history in sports and tradition - I can’t wait to be a part of that history. I am so excited to get to Boston, meet the Pride faithful, and start working with my teammates towards winning another Isobel Cup,” Howard was quoted as saying in the press release announcing her signing.

Howard joins newcomers Zoe Boyd, Chloé Aurard, Alina Müller, Katie Burt, Sophie Shirley, Caitrin Lonergan, and Gabrielle David, as well as Pride returners Taylor Wenczkowski and Aneta Tejralová as players Boston has signed this off-season as they reload for a run at their fourth Isobel Cup.
