NWHL playoff schedule is set

After the longest season yet, the NWHL standings are locked in.

The 2019-2020 NWHL regular season is over!

Play-In and Semi-Final Schedule

  • Connecticut Whale at Buffalo Beauts on Friday, March 6 at 8:30 p.m. EST
  • Metropolitan Riveters at Minnesota Whitecaps on Sunday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. EST
  • Winner of Whale/Beauts at Boston Pride on Sunday, March 8 at 2:30 p.m. EST/

The Boston Pride ended their season in first place with an impressive 23-1 record, collecting 46 points and clinching first place before the All-Star Game even took place. They will not play until March 8 against the winner of the last place play-in game.

The Minnesota Whitecaps currently sit in second place with a 17-7 record. With 36 points they clinched second place pretty early on, but something that may be even more important than that is that they handed Boston their lone loss of the season. They can still nab two wins this weekend but it will not effect their playoff standing, and they will host the Riveters at home in two weeks.

The Metropolitan Riveters take third place with a 10-13 record and 23 points so far. The Buffalo Beauts sit behind them with 17 points and a 8-15 record. The teams split the weekend series giving the Beauts some much needed momentum after a rough stretch.

The Connecticut Whale finished in last place. They currently have a 2-22 record but have managed to bring the Pride to overtime and hold them to very few goals on a lot of shots.

The winners of both semi-final games on March 8 will face off for the Isobel Cup championship the following weekend.  All games can be streamed on the NWHL Twitch channels.
