The New York Sirens have signed first-overall draft pick Kristýna Kaltounková to a three-year standard player agreement, the team announced Monday evening.

Kaltounková is the first of the Sirens' 2025 draft picks to sign with the team. The 23-year-old recently finished five seasons at Colgate, where a stellar collegiate career saw her record 111 goals and 122 assists for 233 points in 171 games. She leads the Raiders' program in goals scored (by a long shot!) and is second in all-time points, behind only Danielle Serdachny.

In New York, Kaltounková will be reunited with former Colgate head coach Greg Fargo as well as former Raiders teammates Allyson Simpson and Kayle Osborne. She is the ninth forward under contract for the Sirens for the upcoming PWHL season.

"Speed, physicality, compete, passion — Kalty brings it all," said Sirens general manager Pascal Daoust in the team's media release. "Fearless enough to block any shot on the ice, but it takes real courage to try and block hers – it's a true weapon. An elite player and outstanding teammate whose talent and drive will lift our standard of excellence and excite our fans."

This past season, Kaltounková served as an alternate captain for the Raiders, registering 48 points in 37 games. She led the team in goals (25) and was tied for sixth in the country in goalscoring. She finished the season second on the team in points, behind only Elyssa Biederman's 51 points. In spring, she became the first-ever Czech player to be selected as a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award.

She's also represented her native Czechia on the international stage, including at the 2025 Women's Worlds. She registered six points, including four goals, in seven games and was named a Tournament All-Star. She also recently participated in the Euro Women's Hockey Tour.
