PWHL Expansion Draft: Live Draft Board

The PWHL's two newest teams, PWHL Vancouver and PWHL Seattle, will add to their rosters through the first-ever expansion draft on Monday night. The draft begins at 8:30 pm ET and is being broadcast on the league's YouTube channel.

The two teams will each select seven players, bringing their rosters to 12 players each. The draft order will be revealed at the beginning of the night. Players who are eligible to be selected are unprotected, and either under contract for the 2025-26 season, or have their playing rights held through the 2025-26 season.

Between the exclusive signing window and the expansion draft, each of the original teams in the PWHL must relinquish four players. Each team was able to protect three players initially; once a team has given up two players, it can select a fourth player to protect.

Expansion Draft Results

A draft lottery was held earlier today with the general managers and Jayna Hefford. The winning team, Vancouver, was able to select between having the first overall pick, or picks #2 and #3. They chose to keep the first pick. It's a snake format.
