Julie Chu and Caroline Ouellette welcome baby to family

The team is cute enough to melt a hockey rink.

If you heard squeals of delight coming from all corners of the women’s hockey twittersphere today, it’s because Julie Chu and Caroline Ouellette announced the newest addition to their team! (Or rather, Shannon Miller did it for them)

The Les Canadiennes teammates, and national team opponents, welcomed a baby girl five days ago. She has the hyphenated last name of two the greatest women to ever play hockey.

Chu is not on the Canadiennes active roster this season. ETOP reported she is on the extended roster citing other commitments. She is also the head coach for Concordia University.

Ouellette is on the roster. However, the team said she was on leave when the season began, which we now officially know was because she was pregnant.

I literally can’t even start with how cute and perfect and adorable the Chu-Ouellette family is. Most of my reaction has been a lot of “awwwww” and “aboihagfsjughw” and more of the same.

Just look at her little fingers! Imagine her in a little Chu-Ouellette Les Canadiennes jersey! She could fit in the palm of hockey glove! The newborn photos! The cuteness!
