The best rivalry in sports heads to Hartford, CT
The Rivalry Series/My Why Tour continues on tonight as Canada and the US face off for the second time in a week. This time they’ll be in Connecticut.

The line ups for the game will mostly likely come up just ahead of puck drop. But, for the US at least, we can expect to see some new faces from Monday’s game. On defense, Savannah Harmon and Anna Wilgren, a later addition to the residency roster, will most likely play. For the forwards, look to see Jesse Compher, Kelly Pannek, and Grace Zumwinkle on the roster. Abby Roque may have suffered an injury in a play along the boards Monday (she played after but per Hilary Knight’s Instagram Story, was in a walking boot over the weekend), so she’ll also be one to see if she’s in the lineup.

Last Time Out
Canada won the first game of the series, 3-1. Sarah Fillier scored one and Emily Clark had the game-winning goal plus an empty netter to seal the victory. Hayley Scamurra had the lone US goal.
There were 11 penalties called, though some where a bit more questionable than others. It was an undeniably spicy game with plenty of after the whistle action. The phrase “friendly exhibition” never really applies to these games, does it?

The US team is scheduled to play Russia in Ireland Nov 9 - 14, according to the MyWhy Tour page; however, AP’s John Wawrow reported that Russia backed out of the games due to too many positive COVID cases.

Russia was forced to pull out 3-game women’s hockey series vs. USA in Northern Ireland because of a jump in COVID cases placing the team in lockdown.
Team was unable to get entry visas.
