Harrison Browne, a forward with the Metropolitan Riveters, made history last year as the first trans athlete in professional team sports. Last night at the Prudential Center Browne made a speech and held a Q&A as part of the New Jersey Devils second annual Pride Night.

On the ice Browne is a sight to behold. His short, powerful strides send him headlong into puck battles where he is almost always the smallest player in the scrum. He’s fearless and relentless. Off the ice the Canadian winger is candid, charismatic, and authentic - but even more inspiring.
Browne regularly shares his experiences as a trans athlete and a trans man on his YouTube Channel. He and the Riveters will be back on the ice this Saturday in a game against Browne’s former team.
