The International Ice Hockey Federation announced Wednesday their 2026 class of inductees to their Hall of Fame, which includes two women's hockey greats: Canadian legend Cassie Campbell-Pascall, and Swiss star Florence Schelling.

Campbell-Pascall, originally from Richmond Hill, Ontario, captained two gold medal-winning Canadian Olympic teams in 2002 and 2006, during her illustrious career. In addition to her two Olympic golds, the skater has a silver medal from the 1998 games in Nagano, one silver World Championship medal, and six World Championship golds. Across 51 appearances at both tournaments, Campbell-Pascall registered 14 goals and 42 points. And in 2007, she became the first women's hockey player to be inducted into the Canada Sports Hall of Fame.

Following her retirement, Campbell-Pascall spent over a decade as a commentator for both Sportsnet in Canada, and more recently with ESPN in the United States. Since the foundation of the PWHL in 2023, Campbell-Pascall has served as a special advisor for the league.

Schelling is one of the best netminders to ever take the ice internationally. With over 10 years of time spent as the starting goaltender for Switzerland, the now-36-year-old at the World Championships played in 44 games, the most of any goaltender ever. Her 2,578:35 minutes are also the most ever for a netminder, and her 20+ wins have her amongst the tournament leaders in the category.

Originally from Zürich, Schelling was an integral part of the 2012 World Championship bronze medal winning team for Switzerland, as well as the bronze medal winning team at the 2014 Sochi Olympics – a tournament in which she was named the Most Valuable Player for her outstanding performance.

The class, which includes an additional four men's players and one builder, will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame in May 2026, on the last day of the men's IIHF World Championships in Zurich.
