Buffalo Beauts re-sign Greco, Juron, and DiTondo

The Beauts now have eight forwards and two goaltenders under contract.

Today the Buffalo Beauts announced that Jordan Juron, Jacquie Greco, and Julia DiTondo have all re-signed with the team. With today’s signings the Beauts now have 13 players under contract for the 2018-19 season, whereas we have yet to hear any signings for the Connecticut Whale and the Boston Pride.

Juron, a native of Niskayuna, New York, will be considered a rookie next season, but she is not a new face to the Beauts. She picked up two points in Buffalo’s final two regular season games of 2017-18.

“I am so excited to be back on the ice for the Beauts for a full season,” Juron said in the Beauts’ press release. “Buffalo is my new home and I can’t wait to make the fans proud.”

The 2018-19 season will be defender Jacquie Greco’s third with her hometown team. The former captain of Syrcause University brought stability and depth to the Beauts’ blue line in her first two NWHL seasons. She picked up two assists in 14 games last season and spent only two minutes in the penalty box.

“I’m thrilled to be back playing for my hometown, Buffalo, in year three,” Greco shared in the release. “I know our team will feed off of the momentum from last season and finish with the outcome we want in 2019. I’m excited to play in front of the best fans in the league and to continue to inspire the next generations for our sport.”

The Beauts also brought back goaltender Julia DiTondo. DiTondo is a big goalie from Kenmore, New York. She has yet to play any minutes in the NWHL regular season or the playoffs. However, DiTondo did stop all 13 shots she faced in a preseason contest last year. She also put up solid numbers during her NCAA career as a backup goaltender for Mercyhurst University.

With today’s trio inked, the Beauts now have more than half of their roster for the 2018-19 season signed.
