Bracketology: Final Projections

Who will play for a chance to play in Boston?

Welcome back to The Ice Garden’s Bracketology column.

All the games are over and after two upsets in the ECAC and the WCHA, we have our bracket.

As a reminder, the committee only seeds the top four teams, who will host the quarterfinal games. Then they keep bracket integrity for the next four teams, providing it does not create more flights then are minimally required. This year, at least two flights are minimum but straight integrity would give us three.  As a result, Princeton and Ohio State are expected to be flipped.

So here is the bracket that should be released shortly.

1 Cornell v 8 Mercyhurst
2 Wisconsin v 7 Clarkson
3 Northeastern v 5 Princeton
4 Minnesota v 6 Ohio State

We will know for sure when the NCAA announces at 9 p.m. You can watch on NCAA.com, you can follow this link, though every year there are technical issues so plan to refresh a few times before it starts.
