Pride and Whitecaps to meet in 2020 Isobel Cup Final
This is the second straight Final appearance for the Whitecaps
After a crazy day of NWHL semifinal action, the 2020 Isobel Cup Final is set!
The Boston Pride will host the Minnesota Whitecaps in the final game of the 2019-2020 NWHL season on Friday, March 13 at 7:15 p.m.
Whitecaps beat Riveters, 1-0 in overtime
It took more than 65 minutes of game play to score a single goal in the first semifinal game, and of course it came off the stick of Allie Thunstrom.
Riveters goaltender Sam Walther lived up to her name, making 30 saves on the afternoon.
This is why they call her Sam WALL-ther, folks...#METvsMIN pic.twitter.com/BtE0J4Vpt2

Pride beat the Whale, 5-1
This was one of those games were the final score did not tell the true story of the game.
After beating the Beauts on Friday night, the Whale came into Boston with the hot hand, and it showed. The Whale’s defense stymied the Pride while goaltender Brooke Wolejko once again stood on her head, making 42 saves.
This will be the second Isobel Cup Final appearance for the Whitecaps and the third for the Boston Pride. The Whitecaps are looking to be the first back-to-back Isobel Cup champions in NWHL history, while the Pride have not won it since the first season.
