PHF Goals of Week: Dec. 18-19

Firsts, lasts, and blasts before holiday break.

Despite the Pride and Riveters series being postponed this weekend, the PHF still provided plenty of great goals to highlight this weekend.

To kick things off, the Whale headed to Buffalo where they found great success and swept the series. Amanda Conway started it off here on Saturday. That water bottle pop? chefs kiss. Connecticut ended up winning this one 3-1.

Meanwhile, in Minnesota, Toronto was getting things started for what would be a winning weekend for them as well. Emma Woods went top shelf on this power play goal in the second period on Saturday.

Tori Charron followed that up with her first PHF goal to make it 3-0. Ultimately, the Whitecaps would fall to Toronto 4-0, making it the second time they’ve been shut out this season, and only the third time since joining the league.

The next day, Audra Morrison puts the Whitecaps up early with this breakaway goal that seems to wrap around the entire post before falling in behind Chuli who didn’t seem ready for it at all. This was Morrison’s first goal of the season and first wearing her new name.

Finally, Kennedy Marchment makes the list here with this unreal snipe to make her the official goals leader this season, and solidify the Whale’s 3-1 win.

The PHF will be on a holiday break the next two weeks, leaving Toronto and Connecticut in first and second place in the standings, respectively. The league will be back at it Jan. 8 when Boston takes on Buffalo, and Minnesota tries to win one against Toronto yet again.
