SB Nation’s NCAA Poll: Steady Silence

We are in a quiet stretch of the season with a lot of teams taking weekends off.

With the western teams mostly being idle, or playing their weaker fellow members there was little movement in the poll.

1. Wisconsin (13-0-1), 100 (10) — Last poll: 1

  • Last week: T 0-0 OT (SOW 1-0) v Bemidji State (11/6), W 8-1 v Bemidji State (11/7)
  • Coming Week: No Games /

After a head scratching tie to Bemidji, the Badgers decided to take the Beavers to the woodshed with an 8-1 drubbing. They’ll have next weekend off.

2. Ohio State (10-2-0), 90 — Last poll: 2

  • Last week: W 8-1 @ St. Thomas (11/5), W 6-2@ St. Thomas (11/6)
  • Coming Week: No Games /

Two easy road wins for Ohio State, now they take a weekend off as well.

3. Minnesota (7-3-0), 78 — Last poll: 3

  • Last week: No Games
  • Coming Week: v RIT (11/12, 11/13)/

A weekend off for the Gophers before they head to Rochester for a pair of wins against RIT.

4. Minnesota-Duluth (4-4-0), 67 — Last poll: 4

  • Last week: No Games
  • Coming Week: No Games/

The Bulldogs are still idle and it has been helping them in the eyes of the voters.

5. Northeastern (8-2-1), 56 — Last poll: 6

  • Last week: W 5-1 @ Providence (11/5), T 1-1 OT (2-0 SOW) v Providence (11/6)
  • Coming Week: @ Vermont (11/12, 11/13)/

The Huskies could have used a couple of goals from their dominant road win when they ended up in a tie against the Friars at home the next day. Winning the shootout gives NU the edge in the season series. Up next is a long trip up to Vermont for a pair.

6. Colgate (10-2-0), 53 — Last poll: 5

  • Last week: W 7-1 v Brown (11/5), L 0-4 v Yale (11/6)
  • Coming Week: @ RPI (11/12), @ Union (11/13)/

The Raiders blew the doors off Brown before the wheels fell off when Yale came to Hamilton. This weekend takes them to Eastern New York for a pair.

7. Princeton (4-0-0), 28 — Last poll: T-8

  • Last week: W 4-1 v RPI (11/5), W 4-2 v Union (11/6)
  • Coming Week: v Quinnipiac (11/12), @ Quinnipiac (11/13)/

Two wins keeps the Tigers perfect, the last team in the country to hold that title, and makes them this week’s ‘Belle’s of the Ball.’ Coming up is a weekend against a Quinnipiac team many are unsure how the Tigers stack up against.

8. Quinnipiac (10-0-2), 27 — Last poll: T-8

  • Last week: W 2-1 v Union (11/5), W 1-0 v RPI (11/6)
  • Coming Week: @ Princeton (11/12), v Princeton (11/13)/

Like Princeton they beat the same two teams but, but we will now get to see how these two teams really stack up.

9. Boston College (6-2-0), 16 — Last poll: 7

  • Last week: No Games
  • Coming Week: @ Harvard (11/9), v Providence (11/12), v Providence (11/13)/

After taking a weekend off the Eagles will travel to Harvard for a Beanpot-esque Tuesday night matchup before a pair of home games against Providence.

10. Clarkson (9-1-2), 12 — Last poll: ARV

  • Last week: W 5-0 v Dartmouth (11/5), W 4-3 OT v Harvard (11/6)
