Before the 2019-20 NWHL season, the league signed a three-year deal with Twitch to stream and broadcast its games and other content. Today, the NWHL announced that its Twitch channel will broadcast a special hour-long edition of NWHL Open Ice hosted by Twitch personality GamerDoc followed by a replay of the Labatt Blue Buffalo Believes Classic between the Buffalo Beauts and Metropolitan Riveters.
The rebroadcast of that unforgettable game will feature a pair of live 15-minute long interviews during the intermissions hosted by Lindsay Eastwood of the Toronto Six. The Buffalo Believes Classic was the NWHL’s first regular season outdoor game. It featured an eight-goal third period, which included a four-goal period from Beauts All-Star Taylor Accursi. The Riveters won the game 7-4, but Accursi earned first star honors.
Fans interested in the three hours of programming can tune in live tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET at twitch.tv/nwhl.
