Introducing the Best College Hockey Photo Bracket

Brought to by TIG and BU (really!)

Today, The Ice Garden in partnership with BU Women’s Hockey and their SID Kevin Edelson introduce the Best College Hockey Photo Bracket. For the next 10 weekdays on TIG’s Twitter, you’ll be able to vote on the best photo from the Division I college hockey season.

To get the photos, we reached out to all 41 DI teams to get their best photo from the 2019-20 season. From there, without looking at the photos, we randomized the teams and placed them into a bracket.

Of course, because 41 teams isn’t a great bracket, we have nine play-in games. The “bottom” 18 teams went into those to eventually be paired against the “top” nine teams. For transparency sake, Michelle and Gabs did play committee but instead of moving teams to avoid flights, we moved a few teams to avoid too many conference matchups.
