Knight’s 200th point was a game-tying power play goal assisted by Alex Carpenter and Kelly Pannek at the 12:01 mark of the second period. Team USA eventually lost to Canada in overtime by a score of 3–2. In addition to the 200 points she has notched with the senior national team, Knight also scored two goals and earned an assist in nine appearances with the U-22 squad between 2006 and 2010.

The face of women’s hockey has piled up 17 points in 15 games of Olympic competition and 74 points — 43 of which are goals — in 52 games of Women’s World Championship tournaments. Knight is just four points shy of tying Cammi Granato (78) as Team USA’s leading scorer in Worlds competition and is one goal shy of matching Granato’s program-leading 43 goals at the Worlds.

The 2020 IIHF Women’s World Championship begins on March 31 in Halifax and Truro, Canada.
