Today, the NWHL announced all 32 players who will be shipping up to Boston for the 2020 NWHL All-Star Weekend! Previously they announced all eight original NWHL players would be All Stars as well as the three players the fans voted in.

The remaining 21 players were picked by the league office, general managers, and coaches.

The Pride have the most All Stars with eight. The Whitecaps are close behind with seven while the Riveters and Beauts both have six. The Whale have five.

One of the most fun parts of the NWHL All-Star Weekend is watching regular season teammates line up across from each other, especially goalies and forwards. Fans will get to see Fujimagari lines up against Buie and how Leveille lines up against Schammel. Fratkin will defend Brand while Morse try to stop Packer.

Captain Madison Packer leads all players with the most All Star appearances at four. Boulier, Fratkin, Buie, Levielle, Dempsey, and Bender will all have three under their belts after February. Fraktin holds the distinct honor of being named an All Star three different times with three different teams (Whale in 2016, Riveters in 2017, and Pride in 2020).

Of this year’s All Star class, only Buie and Levielle have ever won a skills event. Buie won the shooting accuracy in 12.6 seconds, and that same year Levielle won Fastest Goalie with her All-Star teammate Katie Fitzgerald.

The 2020 NWHL All-Star Weekend will be at Warrior Ice Arena in Boston, the home of the Pride. The skills competition is at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 and the game - two 25-minute period of 4-on-4 play - is at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. It will be streamed on Twitch.
