The Lamoureux Twins were a question on Jeopardy Last Night

That would be hockey.

Chris Dilks, the managing editor of SB Nation College Hockey, caught a special moment in women’s hockey and pop culture last night. Olympic gold medalists and PWHPA members Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Monique Lamoureux-Morando were an answer on last night’s episode of Jeopardy.

Their clue was worth $400, but, disappointingly, none of the contestants could name the sport that the twins play. Apparently, the contestants — who were all previously champions of the brainy trivia show — were not among the 4.8 million viewers who tuned in to watch Team USA play Team Canada for the gold medal in the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang.

According to Dilks (and J! Archive), this is the sixth time a women’s hockey player has been mentioned on the quiz show.

The twin sisters have had Hall of Fame-worthy careers as icons of the United States women’s national team, North Dakota women’s hockey, the Minnesota Whitecaps, and for their philanthropic efforts off the ice.
