Welcome to the 2019-20 NCAA Season Preview!

Conference previews, required readings, and more to get you ready for the college hockey season!

It’s that time of year again, college hockey preview season!!!

Welcome back to our seasoned NCAA fans, and welcome to new ones just discovering the craziness that is college hockey.

We say it every year but the NCAA is a great place to watch rising stars and current Olympians play in an accessible, fun, and highly competitive atmosphere. The large amount of teams — 39 Division I schools spread over five conferences — means it can get overwhelming. But we’re here to help!

Our NCAA Poll will be back as always on Monday mornings. A group of TIG writers and other NCAA media members vote on the Top 10 teams of the last weekend. Its a great way to stay on top of what happened and how it impacts.

As the season goes on, we’ll keep you update on the tournament bracket and how it will play out.

The Wisconsin Badgers will look to repeat their 2019 Championship. Loren Gabel was the 2019 Patty Kazmaier Award winner.

The 2020 National Championship will be played at Boston University’s Agganis Arena March 20 and 22. Tickets are already on sale if you’re an advanced planner.

The biggest storyline to follow will be expansion. A new conference - NEWHA - was granted Division I status, though not an autobid into the championship tournament. A new team also joined that conference, Long Island University, coached by long time women’s hockey Rob Morgan.

This post will house links to all of our preview content, plus links to important pieces from the off season to get up to date on!
