Photos from the historic first NWHL game at Buffalo’s NHL rink

For the first time ever, the Buffalo Beauts took the ice for a game at the KeyBank Center on Saturday Dec. 29, facing off against the Minnesota Whitecaps. The game had large implications in the standings as well as for the Beauts. Just before the holiday break, they relived their long-time coaches because of the team’s record.

The Whitecaps prevailed, 2 - 1, on goals by Kendall Coyne-Schofield and Lee Stecklein. The Beauts lone goal was scored by Blake Bolden.
