It was a great weekend for Katie Burt

Those familiar with college hockey should know Katie Burt’s name by now. She has won two Beanpots and two Hockey East titles with Boston College, and she just reached a new milestone on Saturday.

With a weekend sweep of the Providence Friars, BC clinched their fifth straight regular season Hockey East title. By back-stopping the Eagles to a 3-2 victory on Saturday afternoon, Katie Burt earned her 115th career win, which set a new NCAA record. In Saturday’s game, Burt also moved up to 4702:14 minutes played, which is a new WHEA record. Not only did she break two records, she also moved into 10th all-time in the career saves with 1633.

Burt recorded a shutout of the Friars on Friday (which almost seems mundane compared to her other feats), and was named not only the Hockey East Player of the Week, but the NCAA First Star of the week as well:

- GK minutes played this season

Oh, and her 24 wins and .879 winning percentage are second-best in the nation, too.

On top of THAT, Burt is looking for her third Beanpot in a row next week, as well as her third Hockey East Tournament championship.

Yeah, gotta be good to be Katie right now.
