WWC Open Thread: Gold Medal Game USA vs Canada

Tonight the two best teams in women’s hockey will be playing for gold.

It’s Marie-Philip Poulin and Canada against Hilary Knight and the United States in the final game of the 2017 Women’s World Championship. In other words - it’s just the way it should be.

The United States defeated Canada 2-0 in a preliminary game. Gigi Marvin and Brianna Decker scored for USA and goaltender Nicole Hensley posted an 18 save shutout. Shannon Szabados turned aside 26 shots for Canada.

You can watch the action tonight on NHL.com when it streams live and free to residents of the United States at 7:35pm. The game will also be airing on the NHL Network and on TSN for our Canadian readers.

Thus far NHL.com’s live stream has been difficult to find for audiences (it typically goes up just before puck drop), so keep an eye out in the comments section for a link!

Let’s drop the puck.
