KHL to host Women’s All-Star Game at Week of Hockey Stars

The KHL All-Star Game is a big time in the Kontinental Hockey League. This year, they’re mixing it up a bit with the Week of Hockey Stars. Celebrating “the finest masters of the game” according to the press release, the event will take place in Ufa, from January 15 to January 22.

It’s a big event, not only because this is its first year of inception, but also because it’ll feature the first ever women’s all-star game in Kontinental Hockey League history.

The Women’s Hockey League All-Star Game will take place on Thursday, January 19. It’ll be an East versus West contest. The league’s top coaches will hand-select two specialists to lead each team. Each roster will feature 17 players, with 15 skaters and two goalies.
