Dunkin’ returning as NWHL sponsor

Five seasons of running on Dunkin’

The NWHL will keep running on Dunkin’ as the company is returning as a sponsor.

Dunkin’ was the first corporate sponsor of the NWHL in their first league and has been partnered with them ever since. As a league-wide deal, the revenue will be split with the NWHLPA, per the new agreement.

“Five years ago Dunkin’ had the privilege of partnering with the National Women’s Hockey League in its first season, and we are delighted to continue our partnership and help raise the visibility of women’s hockey across the country,” said Tom Manchester, Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing, Dunkin’ U.S. in their press release. As a brand that is part of the daily lives of hockey players, coaches and fans, we are proud to support the league and some of the world’s best female athletes as part of our long hockey heritage. We look forward to helping the league celebrate its fifth anniversary and the new season ahead.”

The iconic pink and orange logo will again appear on jerseys and other in-rink and online signage. The company will also be involved in special events ranging from the All Star Weekend and what the release calls “the Isobel Cup Tour as the league’s championship trophy travels around North America.”

Dunkin’ is the third league-wide sponsor to be announced for the 2019-20 season thus far. VEDA is returning and sponsoring the Player of the Week award again. Chipwich was brought on as the Official Ice Cream Sandwich of the NWHL. In addition, all of the NWHL’s games will be streamed on Twitch, a deal that included a first-ever rights fee being paid to the league.
