A three-point game by Natalie Spooner lifts Toronto in the first game

In game one of their semifinal series, the four seed Toronto Furies beat the one seed Calgary Inferno, 3-1.

The Inferno struck first with Brigette Lacquette scoring from the point in the second period. The Furies then scored three straight unanswered goals, including a goal in the first minute of the third period, to win. Captain Natalie Spooner scored two of the goals and had the primary assist on Sarah Nurse’s goal. Shea Tiley stopped 33 shots.

The two teams will meet again tonight at 6:45 p.m. MST (8:45 p.m. ET). The game will be streamed on CWHL Watch.
