Jayna Hefford inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame
Canadian legend voted in in her second year of eligibility
It’s official. Jayna Hefford is a Hockey Hall of Famer.
In her second year of eligibility, the Canadian superstar has been voted in.
Hefford is one of the most accomplished women’s hockey players in history. She split her time as a pro between the original NWHL and the CWHL, where she amassed 400 and 236 points, respectively, for a total of 636 career points as a professional.
She is a FIVE-TIME Olympian, earning four gold medals and one silver, and has been a member of Team Canada from 1997 to 2014. Most recently, she’s served as an assistant coach for the University of Toronto’s women’s hockey team, where she played herself in college.
She’s won at basically every level - the Olympics, the World Championships, the pros, and has accumulated a number of MVP honors along the way.

Hefford is the sixth women to be inducted into the HOF. Last year, Danielle Goyette was inducted. Before her came Angela Ruggiero (2015), Geraldine Heaney (2013), Cammi Granato (2010) and Angela James (2010).
