What you missed last week in women’s hockey

New video series will keep you up to speed with all the latest news in women’s hockey

Yes, we know it’s the offseason. But it’s still hard keeping up to speed with everything that’s going on in the women’s hockey world. It’s a big place, you know.

That’s why we’re going to start posting a video every week (from now on, it will go up on Mondays) that explains all the big news that you may have missed in women’s hockey. We’ll try to keep it short, around 2-3 minutes (this one’s a little longer because it’s the first one) but it’ll keep you posted on everything you need to know to stay in the loop in the whcky world.

What you missed last week in women's hockey

We're introducing a new weekly video that will get you up to speed with all the women's hockey news you may have missed in the last week!

Опубліковано The Ice Garden 16 травня 2017 р.

Here’s the highlights of this week’s video:

0:42 - Laura Schuler is Hockey Canada’s head coach for the Oympics! Yay! Maybe...actually, you know what, maybe not.

1:16 - Hockey Canada announced their centralization roster, and you won’t BELIEVE who didn’t get chosen in net (actually, you might believe it, but we were still surprised)

2:16 - The CWHL made a bunch of front office changes! Good for them...

3:19 - Brampton Thunder hire a new head coach (and he’s coached women’s hockey before!)

3:55 - If you’re a fan of the NWHL, the Boston Pride, and/or Blake Bolden, you might want to grab some tissues for this next segment. We’re sorry. We hear Switzerland is lovely in hockey season!

4:24 - All the new re-signings you might have missed, aka the Connecticut Whale stay busy.

Thanks for watching! You can email us at if there’s anything you think we should include for next week’s video or if you want to let us know what you think of this week’s video. Bonus points if you include emojis.
